KW 22 / Playlist – Unsteady
Diese Mais (wenn das der offizielle Plural von Mai ist) sind aber auch unstet und wild. So fühlt sich nun meine Playlist an. Es beginnt melancholisch-träumerisch mit Maria Bay (Bechmann), die man natürlich auch von Vil kennt. Am Ende wird es energisch und kraftvoll. Kate Tempest vertritt diesen Part. Sie formte ihr Album The Bricks That Built The Houses zu einem Roman um, den man – kennt man ihre Lieder – zwangsläufig im Sprechgesang liest.
These Mays (if that is the official plural version of May) are really unsteady and wild. That’s also what my playlist feels like. It starts melancholic-dreamful with Maria Bay (Bechmann), you know her from Vil of course. At the end it is getting energetic and vigorous. Kate Tempest represents this part. She transformed her record The Bricks That Built The Houses into a novel, which, knowing her songs, you inevitably read in sprechgesang.
