KW 36 Deer Bear

Demons in your head they ate us up

Our house was enormous and it’d swallowed us up
When the sun was shinning outside it was cold inside
I felt small in the big house, I felt we’d run out of luck
The doors were closed tight so that we choked on our pride

I would search for a room to feel some warmth in
her cries fell like snow in every room
I would search for a room to make a noise in
his silence made our house silent as a tomb

Tears ran our cheeks and guilt and shame was thick in the air
I was a small child then and I thought I was dying with him
Grew a still face so that the mirror wouldn’t show despair
I felt alone and wanted to be close to him

Demons in your head they ate us up
and our big house was so still
Its windows like eyes all closed tight
Its door like a mouth all shut and dark

His pain was enormous and it tore us apart
he could no longer contain it inside
as if resurrected, same face, different heart
I was terrified and thought that hed’d finally died

The door was now all open and it was singing a song
It was loud and clear and for everyone to hear
But all turned their backs as if nothing was wrong
They left us inside that house to dissapear

Tears ran our cheeks and guilt and shame was thick in the air
I was a small child then and I thought I was dying with him
Grew a still face so that the mirror wouldn’t show despair
I felt alone and wanted to be close to him

Demons in your head they ate us up
and our big house was so still
Its windows like eyes all closed tight
Its door like a mouth all shut and dark
