Ein unterschätztes Genre, die Neujahrsmusik.

So stand es vor zehn Jahren im Kulturklubben. Und es stimmt immer noch irgendwie. Mit einer kompletten EP hat Herr Wade einen weiteren Beitrag für dieses Genre:

Und mit dem Sleeping Beatle gibt es eine schöne schließende Klammer zu einem Jahr, das mit viel Beatles-Covern und Get Back begann:

Auch wichtig zwischen den Jahren sind die Jahresrückblicke! Eine Band, die im Kulturklubben-Archiv nicht fehlen sollte, ist Voo Voo.

Entdeckt als Soundtrack eines Sommerabends im Hinterhof hat sich Dzisiaj jest ładna pogoda von ihrem Album Samo Voo Voo sofort in die Heavy-Rotation dieses Jahres gespielt.

Mehr für die nachdenklichen Stunden zwischen den Jahren ist dann vielleicht Voo Voos aktuelles Album Premiera und hier insbesondere die Stücke mit Hania Rani: Ochota und Bezruch.

Von Voo Voo ist es nicht weit zu Woo, jedenfalls alphabetisch im Kulturklubben-Archiv. Keine Ahnung mehr, wo ich Woo entdeckt habe, angefangen aber habe ich bei der Band der Brüder Mark und Clives Ives mit Woo Revisited.

Between 2020 - 2022 Mark and I re-recorded some of our favourite older songs and tunes.

We have also included outakes from our first two albums, with unreleased sections of the 'Waterdrum' and 'Wapping'.

Ein guter Startpunkt also, um sich durch den großen Back-Katalog von Woo zu hören.
